A trip to Badminton Asia's Training Center in Cyber Jaya, Malaysia more than made up for their early exits for players from Myanmar, Iran and Syria in the Celcom Axiata Malaysian International Challenge being held in Kuala Lumpur.

The young players from these countries were thrilled to visit the state of art training center for their training and coaching from Badminton Asia's High Performance Director Koo Kien Keat - a former Malaysian international who formed a deadly partnership with Tan Boon Heong in the men's doubles.

As a pair Kien Keat and Boon Heong ruled the badminton world and were the No 1 pair in the men's doubles and won a string of titles during their prime before breaking up in 2014.

The players from Myanmar, Iran and Syria can thank Badminton Asia's Development Manager Mr Thanabalan Arikrishnan for making the visit possible to "get a feel" of the state of art training center.

The visiting party to Cyber Jaya was welcomed by Mr Tan Kee Hian, the Chief Executive Officer of NBL Asia.

Apart from the players, others in the party were Mr Kenny Goh, the Chief Operating Officer of Badminton Asia and Mr Muhammad Andy Ardiansyah (Development Executive).

The trip left the players happy and excited with the training center's new environment.

"By providing the best for the players we hope they can provide better result towards our AOP Project," said Kenny Goh.
