The shortlist for the CN Specialists Awards 2022 has been revealed today.
A total of 141 entrants made it through the first round of judging, with 85 companies represented across 21 different categories.
Demolition specialist AR leads the field with the most nominations – shortlisted across no fewer than seven categories. It is vying for accolades in Training, Health & Safety and Innovation Excellence, and is also shortlisted for a Project of the Year and two Specialist of the Year awards. The firm is also in the running for the most coveted award of the night: Outstanding Contribution to Specialist Construction.
Erith Group closely follows with six shortlistings, up for awards in both the Demolition and Ground Engineering Specialist of the Year categories. It is also shortlisted for Specialist Contractor of the Year with turnover above £25m, and in the Health & Safety and Training Excellence categories. Finally, a young Erith employee is also in the running for Apprentice of the Year.
Four specialist firms earned five shortlistings each: civil engineering and groundworks specialist Galldris Services; demolition specialist John F Hunt; engineering contractor Kilnbridge; and mechanical and electrical contractor NG Bailey.
Entrants have been judged by a panel of 90 experts drawn from a wide variety of disciplines across the whole of the construction industry.
Winners in each category will be announced at a celebratory black-tie dinner, to be held on 22 September at The Brewery in the City of London.
