Marfuah Victor Exist Jakarta Open Junior International 2016 is the first tournament to implement the Badminton Asia Junior Under-17 and Under-15 ranking points. The ranking point system is an extension to the current junior world ranking points, which only given to tournaments for Under-19 age group.

Badminton Asia's initiative to have this Asia junior ranking points is to give the younger aspiring boys and girls what their senior players are going through and, at the basic level, how the ranking system is applied at the world level. By having this new system would allow them to focus on the continuous achievement where they can build and accumulate their ranking points as they progress from one tournament to another. Thus, these budding future stars will have more to look forward to besides focusing to win the current event they participating in.

This Badminton Asia Junior Under-17 and Under-15 ranking points will be utilise in all Junior International tournament sanction by the Confederation including the upcoming Blibli.com Badminton Asia U17 & U15 Junior Championships 2016 to be held in Kudus, Indonesia in October. By having this ranking system, the ranking and seedings for these age-group events will also be much easier and more objective.

The currently ongoing Marfuah Victor Exist Jakarta Open Junior International 2016 had attracted more than 290 players from 9 countries from Asia and Europe. The local and host organiser had the tournament runs with international flavour by having a foreign referee, Mr. Hiroyuki Kojima from Japan, with continental graded umpires, electronic scoreboard system, fully air conditioned venue and having a 4-star hotel to accommodate the teams.
