Krittaporn Jiantanet is a Thai player currently ranked #26 in BWF’s junior ranking for women’s singles. At 18 years old, she has 54 career wins and is on her way to becoming the best of Asia’s juniors players!

Jiantanet started competing internationally at a very young age, already participating in a few tournaments in 2015 and 2016. But it was in 2017 when she started competing in much more competitions, taking part in tournaments such as the PRINCESS SIRIVANNAVARI THAILAND MASTERS 2017 and the PEMBANGUNAN JAYA RAYA INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR GRAND PRIX 2017 (U19) where she reached the Round of 16. Amazingly, at the end of the year she won silver in doubles with her partner Sasikarn Piyawatcharavijit at the OUE SINGAPORE YOUTH INTERNATIONAL SERIES 2017. A very strong start at the beginning of her junior career.

The momentum continued as she competed more in 2018 than she did in the previous year. Starting out at the PEMBANGUNAN JAYA RAYA JUNIOR GRAND PRIX 2018, she made it to R16 in both singles and doubles. She went on to play at the BADMINTON ASIA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 ( INDIVIDUAL EVENT) and the CELCOM AXIATA MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR OPEN 2018. At the VICTOR EXIST JAKARTA OPEN JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 in September, she managed to reach the semifinals in the women’s doubles, before being defeated by Korean players Hye Jin Choi and So Yul Lee. But it was in Singapore again, where she was triumphant.

At the SINGAPORE YOUTH INTERNATIONAL SERIES 2018, she was a semifinalist at the women’s doubles event with partner Kanyanat Sudchoeichom, and at the singles event she finally won gold as she defeated Malaysian player Tan Zhing Yi in a tough 21-17, 13-21, 21-18 match!

2019 saw Jiantanet saw her compete in various competitions such as the YONEX-ROZA BTY JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE 2019, VICTOR EXIST JAKARTA JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL SERIES and also the BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL SERIES 2019. At the end of the year, she lifted another title, this time at the YONEX - SUNRISE BANGLADESH JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL SERIES 2019. She reached the semifinals of the event with partner Kanyanat Sudchoeichom, but it was in the singles category where she was victorious. In the final, she defeated Indian player Treesa JOLLY 21-12, 16-21, 21-16 to lift the title!

Even at a very young age, she’s already reached amazing heights! Can’t wait to see her grow even more.
