Top seeds China, who last won the Thomas Cup in 2012 have India, France and Australia for company in Group A when the draw for this year's Thomas Cup and Uber Cup Finals was made in Bangkok on Thursday (March 22).

Hosts Thailand, however, have tricky draws for, both, their men's team (Thomas Cup) and women (Uber Cup).

In the Thomas Cup the Thais have for company 13-time winners Indonesia, South Korea and Canada in Group B.

Group C is dubbed the 'Group of Death' with Japan, the champions in 2014, Chinese Taipei, Germany and Hong Kong China fighting for the top two slots.

Defending champions Denmark and Malaysia will lock horns for the top two slots in Group D which also has Russia and newcomers Algeria.

In the Uber Cup Finals top seeds Japan are likely to battleIndia for supremacy while Canada and Australia complete the cast in Group A.

It is a tricky path for Thailand in Group B with Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong China. The other team in the group is Germany.

Group C is made up of South Korea, Denmark, Russia and Mauritius while defending champions China, Indonesia, France and Malaysia are in Group D.

The Thomas Cup and Uber Cup Finals will held at Impact Arena in Bangkok from May 20-27.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage for the quarter-finals.
