All Kazakhstan semis in Girls' Under-15 singles in Badminton Asia Regional ( Central Asia) Kazakhstan Championships

It will be all-Uzbekistan and all-Kazakhstan semi-finals in the Boys' Under-15 singles while it is an all-Kazakhstan affair in the Girls' Under-15 semi-finals in the Badminton Asia Regional (Central Asia) Championships in Uralsk, Kazakhstan on Sunday.


Ilya Kuzaev set-up an all-Uzbek semi-final in the Boys' Under-15 when he upset second seed Ratmir Gilmanov of Kazakhstan 21-18, 18-21, 21-6 in a three-game thriller that lasted a good 47-minutes.


He will meet compatriot Shakhzod Ruziboev who ousted another Kazakh challenger Zahar Dolbussin after coming through a tough first game to prevail 22-20, 21-11 in 26 minutes.
Giant killer Nikita Vasiliyev who toppled top seed Makhsud Tajibullayev in the second round was himself beaten in the quarter-finals 21-14, 21-14 by Bogdan Nazarov. Bogdan will play compatriot Abzal Rafkhat for a place in the final. Abzal brushed aside Kazakhstan's Matvey Grishenko 21-13, 21-17.


The Kazakh girls made the Universal Gym, the venue for the championships, a happy hunting ground for themselves with top seed and hot favorite Daria Moiseenko leading the charge.
Daria will face fourth seed Darya Chotonova while third seed Nargiza Rakhmetullayeva takes on unseeded Dilyara Dzhumadilova for a place in Tuesday's final.


Daria continued her impressive form in the championships when she demolished compatriot Dilnara Baktigaliyeva 21-1, 21-15 in only 10 minutes. Nargiza made short work of Aruzhan Algaziyeva 21-10, 21-13, taking 19 minutes to advance.


Darya had a tough first game against Alina Ermolenko before prevailing 22-20, 21-8 after 21 minutes while Dilyara beat Yeva Butpayeva 21-8, 21-18.
