Badminton Asia & BAT - Tie Strengthened, Enhanced Cooperation

Badminton Asia and The Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) will embark on a milestone collaborative programme by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) this evening in Bangkok, Thailand.

The MoU is for a joint effort by Badminton Asia and BAT aiming to develop the sport in the South East Asia region, with the focus on developing countries. 


Mr. Anton Aditya Subowo, President of Badminton Asia and Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, President of BAT jointly signed the MoU in an official ceremony held at Arnoma Grand Hotel.

The ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Greg Kim Hong Ki, Secretary General of Badminton Asia and Ms. Nahathai Sornprachum, Secretary General of BAT. Also present was Mr. Suraj Dandeniya, Vice President of Badminton Asia, Mr. Moosa Nashid, Development Chairman of Badminton Asia,  Dr. Vichya Krea-ngam, Committee and Public Relations of BAT, officials from both parties and the members of the press. 

 

 


Mr. Subowo highlighted, "the cooperation between Badminton Asia and BAT would benefit countries around the region and hope that it would set an example for other member associations to do the same. It is a milestone achievement for badminton development in Asia."


Badminton Asia is committed to work hand in hand with its Member Association to bring greater reach of the game throughout Asia as a whole.
