Badminton Asia's first umpires course in Central Asia - Kazakhstan

Badminton Asia continues with its aggressive drive to promote badminton in the continent and added another feather its cap by holding its first national course in Central Asia in Uralsk, Kazakhstan.


The course - the Badminton Asia National Umpires Course 2018 - is held in conjunction with the Badminton Asia Regional Under-15 and Under-13 (Central Asia) at the Universal Gym in Uralsk.
Uralsk will also play host to the Condensate Apacs Kazakhstan International Series 2018 and this will be from Nov 22-25.


The Regional meet has drawn 134 entries from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The International Series has 104 entries from Australia, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Moldova.


Uralsk, formerly known as Yaitsk, is the capital of West Kazakhstan Region.
The Badminton Asia National Umpires Course 2018 has drawn overwhelming response although only two Central Asia countries are attending with 19 candidates from Kazakhstan and one from Tajikistan.


The course conductor is Ms. Yau Lin Na from Malaysia.
