Thailand's former world No 1 Ratchanok Intanon dethroned defending champion and fourth seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan to win the women's singles title in the Danisa Denmark Open Superseries in Odense on Sunday.

Speaking in an on-court interview after her come-from-behind 14-21, 21-15, 21-19 win in 66 minutes Ratchanok dedicated her win to Thailand's late King Bhumibol who passed away a year ago.

"I would like to dedicate this win to my late King (Bhumibol)," said the unseeded Ratchanok who continued her rich form in Odense after knocking out top seed Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei 21-14, 20-22, 21-14 in the semi-finals on Saturday.

This is Ratchanok's third title this year after winning the Thailand Open and the New Zealand Open earlier this year.
In the men's singles India's K. Srikanth landed his third superseries title, defeating South Korea's Lee Hyun Il in the final which lasted only 25 minutes. The eighth seeded Indian won 21-10, 21-15.

Srikanth, who reached the Singapore Open final and then bagged back-to-back BCA Indonesia Open and the Australia Open, is one of the most gifted male badminton player to have emerged in India in recent times.
